Peer Support

Peers are a vital part of Marin Behavioral Health & Recovery Services (BHRS) programs, drawing on their own life experience to provide hope and encouragement, as well as advocacy and assistance to clients in achieving long-term recovery.

Self Care

Self-Care is an activity that we do consciously in order to take care of our mental, emotional, and physical health. Self-care is key to improve our mood and reduce anxiety. It is also key to a good relationship with oneself and others.

Trauma Informed Care

Becoming a trauma-informed system starts from the recognition that trauma has a profound impact on people, and their ability to be successful in all aspects of their lives. As part of the Health and Human Services Strategic Plan to Achieve Health & Wellness Equity, BHRS is leading the way on developing a unified trauma informed system of care that promotes a culture of safety, empowerment, and healing.
